Testimonials
"As a professional singer, keyboard player and teacher of music I attended the workshop to enrich and
encourage my own performance and that of my students.
Besides experiencing profound realisations regarding
my own approach and 'beliefs' toward music which has
caused me to make some positive changes in my approach
to the subject, I was introduced to some very useful
methods for being able to create music from a deeper
and more inspired part of myself.
I would recommend this workshop for any musician from
beginner to professional as Jamie is offering the most
essential knowledge for music creation. This
knowledge is easily applied to any instrument and it
was fun and refreshing to play guitar, a new
instrument for me! “

"I really got a lot out of The Art of Music workshop. I have a new relationship with my guitar! I enjoy playing every day whenever I have a few minutes which is great. So thanks for the reminder and the reaffirming of music for music’s sake. The experience of the exercise was very powerful. “

"“I took so much away from The Art of Music and have been playing in front of people and more freely since. You are both wonderfully personable and delivering something that you believe in, it is really obvious that you are speaking form the heart at these workshops and that is why I believe your workshops are going to be so successful. “

"I have had a love/hate relationship (actually more like a tawdry secretive affair) with my guitar and expression of my own personal music for about a decade and this workshop provided the structure that enabled me to see and step through many of these limiting beliefs I had placed upon myself. I have since experienced significant shifts in my playing and in my relationship to my instrument and music. So, I'm very happy to report that the 'affair' has endeth and guitar and I are now pursuing an open intimate relationship .. and I'm loving playing music all over again which is what it's all about anyway! A better result I couldn't have hoped for or envisaged in just one weekend. Thankyou!".

"I learnt at Jamies workshop that I, and in fact, we all, are inherently connected to rhythm and music. I experienced a profound opening of my heart though playing the guitar and through that experience, I connected to music in a way I could never have imagined possible. "

"Thank you so much for the opportunity to attend your workshop. As a mum, being able to share that experience with my son has been fantastic for our relationship. He has walked away from your workshop with so much more confidence. For me, the workshop has re-kindled my love of guitar. The guitar has been very healing for me over the years, but then life got in the way and I haven’t been playing for about 12 months… so thank you… I have played every day this week! Thank you again for a deeply life transforming weekend! "

"This is a profound workshop. I've been playing the guitar for years on and off (mostly off), but this weekend really brought me back to why I started playing music and writing songs...because the music wants to be played. The premises Jamie uses clearly show how you can have two relationships with music. One from your identity or egoic wounds, where you're trying to validate or complete yourself, and one from your heart- which just wants to express what it hears, and to do what it loves. This realization is simply the most powerful one I have ever had musically. You can choose to give the power to your heart. I am playing and writing again....and loving it. How beautiful it is to be jamming into the early hours once again, with kindred souls, sharing our songs and stories. Seeing the progress of "nonguitarists" in two days was almost as amazing. If you have ever felt the music draw you in or the urge to pick up a guitar and strum it, but been held back by the beliefs that come up for you, here is a teacher and a teaching structure to help you."
